In June 2025, PLAC collaborated with the LGBTQ+ Advocacy Clinic at Harvard Law School to publish a legal starter guide to co-owning a home or land, How to Buy Property with Chosen Family.

It’s a national resource for people in the U.S. who want to buy property, mostly houses, together with their partners, friends, neighbors, relatives, loved ones and other chosen family or “parafamily.”
